It threatens the lives<br \/>and livelihoods of over 100 million people globally. The effects of climate change have<br \/>been more evident and adverse in the agriculture sector, a critical driver for economic<br \/>growth and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. The sector contributes 23 percent of the<br \/>region\u2019s GDP and employs more than 60 percent of the total population in the region.
